Carna Covid 19 information

We would advise everyone to take out holiday travel insurance irrespective of Covid 19. There is an opportunity to include travel insurance on the booking page. For more information about what is covered please follow this link to Booking Protect.

All arrivals are now back to normal from 2021, arriving Saturday. Carna House at 14.00 and Carna Cottage at 16.00. Departure will remain on Saturday, Carna House at 09.30 and Carna Cottage at 10.30. Please see your booking confirmation or contact us for more information.

Books and games from both houses have been removed to allow deep cleaning of the properties so we advise guests to bring their own.

We ask guests to remove their own bedding and put it in the pink bags provided prior to departure. These bags go directly into the washing machine and greatly reduce the risk of infection for our staff.

We take our responsibility to both guests and staff very seriously. To protect ourselves, you our guests and our staff we have developed the following documents. Obviously information and advice may change so we will be updating and amending our guidance appropriately.

Self-catering deep cleaning protocol between guests.

  1. Open windows and doors to allow good ventilation
  2. Ensure all waste bins are emptied and left over food removed
  3. Double cleaning method;
  4. Remove dirt first, by washing hard surfaces with hot soapy water
  5. Vacuum floors, soft furnishings and curtains.

  • Window sills, handles and glass

Kitchen

  • Appliances, cooker, fridge etc
  • Kitchen cupboard handles
  • Salt and pepper, tea, coffee and sugar containers

Bathroom

  • Toilet handles
  • Soap and hand gel containers
  • Shower and bath
  • Shower screen
  • Wash basins
  • Toilets

Bedrooms

  • Cupboard door handles
  • Bedside cabinets
  • Inside drawers
  • Coat hangers
